The Designer:
Jenny Yen brings a lifelong love of fashion to her work. After graduating from Ryerson Polytechnic University (Toronto) with a Bachelor of Applied Arts in fashion design, Jenny worked as an illustrator, assistant designer, and dance costume maker. She returned to her hometown in Vancouver in 2001 and carved her own path in the local fashion scene by establishing J.Y. Star Apparel Designs and her clothing label CiCi. CiCi's sophisticated pieces have since earned her a following in Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, Seattle, and Portland where fashionistas covet her designs.

In 2008, Jenny partnered with fellow Vancouver-based designer Tabitha Savoie and founded Two of Hearts, an eco-friendly clothing line which uses bamboo, soy, and organic cotton blends and biodegradable dyes. Two of Hearts's playful and sporty designs earned plenty of buzz at BC Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2009, where the designing duo were finalists in the Generation Next showcase. Jenny and Tabitha took their creative collaboration further in 2009 with the Valentine's Day grand opening of the Two of Hearts Boutique in the fashionable South Main district. Committed to supporting local fashion, the Boutique stocks CiCi, Togs, and Two of Hearts clothing as well as up-and-coming exclusive accessories designers. Jenny's designs and the Two of Hearts Boutique have been featured in various local publications and style blogs.

Jenny takes pride in supporting the local economy by exclusively manufacturing her limited edition designs in Canada. With devoted fans and bright plans for the future, she continues to leave her mark on the Vancouver fashion scene.
